Active AWS Exam Discounts

Sign up on the Pearson VUE offer page and you are emailed a promo code. Enter it when you book a participating AWS exam and the first attempt is 50% off — $100 → $50 for Foundational, $150 → $75 for Associate, $300 → $150 for Professional and Specialty.

Take that first attempt between 29 September and 17 November 2026. If you don't pass, you get one free retake of the same exam, taken between 4 January and 7 April 2027.

Excluded: Advanced Networking – Specialty (ANS), Machine Learning Engineer – Associate (MLA), Solutions Architect – Professional (SAP), Developer – Associate (DVA), and beta exams. Cloud Practitioner, AI Practitioner, Solutions Architect – Associate and the other AWS exams are included.

Verify you are a student at an accredited higher education institution, complete your Builder Center profile, and AWS gives you a one-year Skill Builder subscription — 900+ courses, hands-on labs, certification exam preparation, and game-based learning.

Earning badges on Builder Center unlocks more: 7 badges gets $10 in AWS credits, 14 badges gets $20 in AWS credits, and 21 badges gets a $100 AWS Certification voucher. Badges come from publishing articles, commenting, and maintaining streaks.

A $100 voucher covers a Foundational exam — AI Practitioner or Cloud Practitioner — in full. Verification is handled by SheerID, and you may be asked for proof of current enrolment.

To qualify you must complete at least 50% of the courses in your cohort's core learning plan, attend at least one live session, and use the same email address for registration, attendance, and AWS Skill Builder — an AWS Builder ID tied to your company email.

AWS states that primary vouchers cover 100% of the exam fee. Once those are exhausted, a secondary set of 50%-off vouchers is issued until those run out too, so it is worth joining a cohort early.

Vouchers are distributed after the final session of the programme to everyone meeting the criteria. Registering for a cohort on its own does not earn you one.
